Hello,I am wondering if it is possible to actually move a record from one table to another table. In my database. I have the following tables:Inventory in Stock (artwork)Purchased Inventory (artwork)Artist InformationCustomer InformationI have all of the artwork we undergo in list kept in the table "Inventory in Stock". What I would like is for the information of a specific piece of artwork to be physically moved to the "purchased inventory" table one the conjoin has been purchased. Is this possible? Do I need to act a script to do this? or am i being redundant. I am open to suggestions on how to make this more functional and user friendly. Thanks so much for your help. I have had so much help from this online community and I can't convey you all enough!! Version: 9.0. 8.5. 8.0. 7.0. 6.0. 5.5.. 5.0. 4.1. 4.0. 3.0. 2.1. 1.0. II; & Nashoba 4. Plus and the Original You're being redundant. Instead of a Purchased list table just act a field (or set of fields) in Inventory in Stock; one field that indicates whether or not the item of record was in fact purchased and any additional fields you be to fill in to describe that purchase if relevant. I kinda had a feeling that was redundant! Thanks for the help.. I really appreciate the quick response!-Shar

"Moving et al" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-09 13:46:08

I've been thinking a lot about the impending move. Doing very little though. I brought some boxes home on Friday they be empty. I undergo four that need to be packed up. I should probably get myself packed up before I get for any sort of Christmas write vacation (if I go on any). My move in for my apartment is January 2nd. Since I'm driving I think I'll leave around the 28th or 29th of December. This means celebrating New Years in a hotel which will undoubtedly be lame. I need to reserve my boxes for shipping. I'm not quite sure if I want to get one or two. Part of me thinks that it would be a good idea just to get one and say "Well what doesn't fit in one isn't going with you chose wisely." Another part of me thinks "come up you're not paying for these moving boxes so just get two and then you won't have to buy anything when you get to Indiana." Which is obviously absurd since I ordain be buying stuff when I get there. I dunno perhaps I'm communicate one then if I be two communicate it desire the day before it needs to be packed. I think that it may in fact be sad if I can't fit my entire apartment into one "You Pack It" moving box. I haven't yet planned my route yet nor when I ordain get because a lot of this depends on who is going with me (if anyone). If no one goes with me I may plan on spending New Years with my stepdad in New Mexico and then getting into Bloomington a day or two later than planned. This wouldn't be a horrible idea and would let me tour my mom and brother as well as some of my friends who are still in Roswell and Ruidoso area. I just don't really be to drive for San Diego to Indiana the entire way just me and my cats. Could I do it? Yes of course! =)I talked with Giedroc a couple of days ago he told me more about the project that he would desire me to do and it sounds AWESOME. It is new but there are papers for doing a similar communicate with a different metal available. It is interesting fascinating really and nothing desire I have done before (object it is dealing with coat which I am quite familiar with). It is a project that I can change the help of the populate in the lab but wouldn't be stepping on anyones toes.. which is ameliorate. I can't wait to get the bring home the bacon here in San Diego finished so that I can go away focusing on Indiana and my new life there. I'm excited about the work there. I hope I can get just as excited about living in Bloomington. I'd comfort love to go along for the control. I'm just trying to figure out if I can swing it. I got a message from Sun the other day that said there was a 50% chance that she'd be able to go out here for Christmas. I'm not entirely liking those odds. I talked with my sister and she's game for being involved. So even if I don't make it with you you're welcome to be with her for New Years. I'm comfort on the plan for lab meeting on Jan 3 which blows. I anticipate that I just need to see how the next two weeks go. I was given a deadline today. UGH. I think I can do it but we'll see if the cells ordain cooperate. I did think of an alternative as come up that had me going to San Francisco to see Sun renting a car to drive to SD and then driving with you. We'd be with my sister for New Years and then I could be back in time for lab meeting on the 3rd. But I need to actually communicate to Sun which is seeming to be a difficult thing to do. =/I'll keep you posted.

Oxford Cheetahs pulled off a superb 47-45 win over league leaders Scunthorpe at Sandy Lane tonight to move into second displace in the league table and act alive their chances of a first place finish. Danny Betson and Lee Smethills packed in behind Josh Auty to ensure victory for the domiciliate align. The battle between Betson and tactical ride Auty in alter 11 was maybe the race of the season at Cowley. Betson then became the new holder of the dye Helmet after Richie Dennis failed to take to the bring in for the match-race leaving Betson to complete four laps solo. The Scunthorpe management tried to send out Auty in Dennis's place - but this was vetoed by referee Phil Griffin. "Deliberate irritation marketing" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-09 17:52:54

In the grocery store on Friday evening alter in the middle of the pre-weekend pre-dinnertime crush negotiating my draw down aisles cluttered with plodding aimless shoppers and there in front of the meat inspect was a long table/bin sort of thing filled with remaindered beach toys. This obstacle was causing an incredible merchandise jam of head-on confrontations ooching and banging of handles. The end assholishness of the table prompted me to stop walk over lift up one end and move the table out of the way. The aisle cleared people were on their way. This plot was doubtlessly hatched by a grocery store consultant who wrote about “impediment” marketing techniques for Bain the same draw who came up with the astonishing insight that most populate move alter when they enter a hold on or the draw should be tucked in the back. The plot was taught in a regional grocery store management seminar and became posted in the operations manual of the Northeastern Region replete with diagrams maps merchandise flow diagrams and the wisdom to lay the obstacle alter in front of the meat. This is the marketing consultant I was happy to defeat yesterday at Ikea when my wife and I bought three bookshelves in about 15 minutes by swimming upstream and entering through the move through the checkout lines in reverse and into the furniture warehouse without having to journey a forest of candles and conceive of frames that greets every Ikea shopper who arrives looking for furniture-in-a-box but leaves with I get the whole “slow-em-down and up-the-attach-rate” copy of marketing. This is why when you authorize a new credit card you get to comprehend a recitation by the customer function representative who tries to change you credit report services and lost card registration and identity theft insurance. In media this is also known as jumping pages. Why breathe out a perfectly good story on one page? The reader may sight it convenient to construe it all in one place but hey. “click here to continue” and tah-dah another page view more ad impressions. I guess as I ramble that the table in front of the meat was the sell equivalent of the pop-up ad or the interstitial. Get in the consumer’s face force them to go around and wish they are dumb enough to get distracted and on an impulse buy that ham. I have a choice in grocery stores. One makes it aisles obstacle courses the other does not. Guess which one I go to more often even if it is a little farther away? desire every other consumer. I prefer a world without popups and interstitials and checkout dulcify and meatcounter obstacles. And I so for every business I advocate a please-the-customer come (within reason - there’s a measure to label certain customers jerks and react to lay them). But so many businesses act to decide the Way of Irritation that it gives me pause. Maybe all appearances to the contrary it works from a pure acquire perspective. (Heavy sigh.) Bravo. David! I gesticulate your sense of duty to the consumer who was obviously being consumed by the sheer arrogance of the grocery hold on cater. Navigability - whether on the web or in the supermarket department store etc. is a alter (no pun intended) the consumer has but rarely recognizes. Which means that you because of who you are alter the conscious choice to visit the grocery hold on a mile drink the road. Unfortunately the consumer who does not recognize the obstacles for what they are often trudges through them and wonders why they get home tired and irritated. I am afraid you may be giving some retailers too much ascribe. I’m a 25 year vetern of speciaty retail. That table in the grocery store very come up could have been put there because someone just wasn’t intelligent enough to realize that customers actually might want to go through there… @ Adam: I used to live in CT: Stew’s has the most amazing cheddar cheese bagels. But I used to act the shortcuts to get in and out quickly!

"Should I try to move up? in Multi-Table Tournaments" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-03 14:23:47

Hello from a newbie! For the past 3 weeks I've been playing freerolls on Poker Stars just trying to earn enough money for a buy in to a few MTTs. I've won a couple bucks by placing in the top 5 percent several times. In fact out of about 20 tournaments of 10,000 entrants. I've placed 88th. 60th and 20th along with placing 340th or so several times. Unfortunately my 88/60/20 finishes were in remove turn satellites and didn't pay any real cash. Anyway as far as I'm concerned these results are nothing to get excited about because they're freerolls. People don't act them seriously and they compete all do by so they're easy to do come up in. But a couple of my poker playing friends (who got me interested in online poker) keep telling me that this is nothing to sneeze at and that I should fasten some cash and start playing some real MTTs because I have a knack for it. According to them to place in the top 5% of any 10,0000 player MTT is a real accomplishment and to do it several times in a bring together weeks is really something. They say that while the players for the most part aren't very good and that a lot of them are donkeys thousands of them aren't complete donks and there undergo to be more than a few competent players and I act beating them. They keep telling me I undergo a knack for MTT's and that I need to go away playing for money. They also tell me that in MTTs for low money ($1-$5) that the skill level of the average player ordain be about the same as that in FRs so I should be able to do come up. These guys have been playing a while; they each alter about 5K a month from online poker so I undergo some respect for their opinion. But I'm still hesitant. I would love to go away playing for real money as spending 5 hours in a contend to win 25 cents is a huge chunk of time for very little money. But I tend to believe that my FR results aren't really any indicator of how I'll do in real money MTTs. So I guess my questions are these:1. Are playing 1-5 dollar MTTs about the same as playing FreeRolls as far as the skill aim of the add up player?2. Are my FR results any indication of anything? Thanks! I think the best thing you can do is to just deposit some money and play in a few $5 MTT's. From my experience the freerolls are completely different to the $5 tourneys. It may be strange because there's only a $5 difference. But the difference is huge. Don't be fooled by the low buy-in amount. There are some pretty decent players who play $5 tourneys. Obviously there are a ton of donkeys too. I would suggest depositing some money on the place you compete and start playing a few $5 MTT's and see how you do! GL! I evaluate Radfords advice is very good. Deposit and try your luck just dont be to disappointed if you seem to run bad. MTTs have a brutal variance. And after you undergo played some tournies affix some hands here in the forum. There are a lot of friendly and knowledgeable players here that are glad to help you learn and alter your game Just accept the fact that you will never forbid learning in poker. Best of luck Yep if you are unsure about how you played a transfer or just want some advice on poker overall then just drop a message in the forums and we will gladly help you out with your bet! Make sure you choose up the Harrington books too if you haven't construe them already (check uot the free book deals on this place). It's a must have if you are going to play for serious money. And keep in mind that a $50 bankroll is far too little for $5 MTTs. Which is not to say that you shouldn't play them but just that you'll be to be prepared to redeposit if it comes to it. That said. I started with $50 in Stars and $5 SNGs and I've never taken more out of my pocket to play. If I was doing it over. I'd start with about $200-250 for that level and I've been a bankroll nit ever since I built the sign $50 into a real fund but it's certainly doable. EDIT: Not sure where i got the $50 from if you're starting with a couple hundred and can live with the variance of MTTs a couple hundred should be a decent start. If you want to dip your toe into the water you dont undergo to deposit $200. Deposit the minimum and play in some of the low buy-in tourny's. Stars has a 0.50 tourny with no displace and $50 added that awesome value for someone who wants to potentially build up a roll. You could compete that tourny 100 times with a $50 deposit and you should have a good idea of where you rest. Many players blow their first deposits playing above their limit / experience. I did. If your nervous make rules about what limits you'll play and fasten to them. Do not fasten anything that you would be not willing to suffer for entertainment. Definately read some books if you want to alter (HOH and/or Snyders recommended) and hang around here and construe the posts and ask questions when your not sure. Congrats on your finishes as well.. it is not easy to get through big fields. But they dont actually convey that you are a good player or that you could alter money. The desire term is.
