After a beautiful sunny day with those big white fluffy clouds now I get this rather complicated weather email from KOMO TV in Seattle. I have plans for Wednesday evening dinner with some gals I used to work with... and Thursday. Barbara and I are going to an early dinner and then to the Our measure outing for awhile as she leaves Saturday with her oldest daughter and grand daughter for San Diego to catch a journey ship for the Mexican Rivera Cruise. Friday it's just a trip to the dentist at 2pm so that should be ok. But I hate driving at night when it's stormy. Yuk ! Updated Tuesday 4:20 p m. It doesn't get more challenging than this around here. For all the different weather events we get -- rain wind convergence zones come down shadows -- come down is the most challenging.. and fringe snow is the most challenging of all. While it's not nice to drive in having it be 25 degrees with a big change surface of moisture moving in actually makes our job easier. But more often it's about 33-35 and moisture is only expected in some places and don't forget minute variations in altitude topography and proximity to large bodies of water with swirling winds in this region that might make down the block two degrees warmer and raining while it's snowing at your home. Which is all a fancy way of saying the upcoming forecast will not be a cakewalk. Tonight is still fairly calm. We'll see just a few isolated showers toward the foothills that will taper off overnight. The rest of us will be partly cloudy and chilly. Lows will displace into the upper 20s in the outlying areas to the low-mid 30s in the city. Then comes Wednesday which will begin calm but not end that way. We'll start with mostly cloudy skies with light rain developing around midday or early afternoon as a weak cold front drops in from the northwest. It's Wednesday night and early Thursday morning where things get interesting again. The front's parent low pressure system is anticipate to move southeast across the northern interior. There is some semi-cool air in B. C that could get drawn into the low so areas on the north align of the low could get just enough cool air late Wednesday and early Thursday to get a little bit of snow -- especially above 500 feet. No significant accumulations expected though -- maybe 1-1.5" at most. The exception is the Hood Canal area (same places over there that got come down Tuesday) which could see maybe 1-2" of snow from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning. Outside of the general snow/mix zaniness we're looking at scattered rain/snow showers in the morning and then decreasing showers for the afternoon. Highs will climb into the low 40s so any snow that does fall ordain break up pretty quickly once the snow ends. (Wow. 11 paragraphs and I'm not even to the weekend. Man. I love November!) Forecasting models don't offer much back up in the consensus department for the weekend. And wouldn't you experience we still have cool air and moisture in the neighborhood. It does be like we'll have some cooler modified arctic air will move in from B. C. adding more of a winter chill to the air. Friday looks comfort with just a few isolated come down showers amid plenty of sunbreaks with highs in the low 40s. Saturday a weak system is now forecast to drift through and with some of that chilly air in place it could be for lighten come down or flurries. No significant accumulations expected but something to be mindful of. Highs will only arrive the upper 30s. Our next challenge will be Sunday. A much warmer wetter system is forecast to head our way but if we get enough of that cool air entrenched ahead of time precipitation could begin as a heavy wet sloppy snow before changing over to come down as the warm air scours us out. That could bring widespread accumulations before that occurs so be mindful of that on Sunday. However it should all be melted by Monday so no commuting problems expected. In fact long range models for next week hint at a warmer wetter pattern ending all snow concerns and probably instead requiring an eye on the rivers. Highs will arise into the upper 40s or perhaps into the 50s. But at least it's not fringe snow :) There was a lovely sunset.. and I stood on my porch and watched it then gathered wood and got a blast going in the wood stove. As it was starting to get chilly in the house. I'm anxious to see who wins "Dancing With The Stars." The final show is tonight. Have a good evening......... Linda Linda I hope you got to go out for dinner with some of your girlfriends ~ I wish Barbara enjoys her Mexican Rivera journey ~ and wish you enjoy your TRIP to the Dentist Friday that should be exciting :o) ~ Ally x

For those who dislike negativity you might just be to drop this quarter. Since I don't much cover special teams the beat and beat moments of the quarter won't be covered in-depth. But briefly. Josh Wilson's return was very impressive though it's alter his top go does not be his awesome acceleration. And that Burleson committed returner greed. From taking the roll out from within the ten to leaving his feet to repeatedly hanging the ball away from his be - Burleson's look for was earned. The cerebrate Will Witherspoon was able to get back-to-back sacks on the Hawks' first control has a lot to do with a peculiar call of pass blocking Seattle sometimes employs and that style's inherent weaknesses. It works desire this: Walter Jones blocks in and Rob Sims blocks out. That's abnormal of course because Jones is the outside man the confront and Sims is the inside man the follow. On Witherspoon's first sack there was no obvious blown block. Matt Hasselbeck pump faked and then barely had time to bring the roll approve to his be before Witherspoon shooting the gap between Sims and Jones recorded the take. On the next play the Hawks employed change integrity backs (they were 4 wide hit back on the previous compete) and Weaver sat in the gap between Sims and Jones to counteract another assail drink the middle. Instead. Witherspoon employed an edge go. Sims having to move from the left guard lay to engage Witherspoon on the outside was down a step against Witherspoon and had little hope of stopping him from getting around the advance. Weaver could undergo chipped the defender but his assignment was to control the gap and then run into the flat so I'm remiss to accuse him for the take. No the real blame is the unorthodox (to my knowledge) blocking of the Seattle Seahawks left guard and left tackle. I'm not sure if this is because Jones is injured or if it has worked in the past but it sure didn't bring home the bacon on the Hawks' first drive. Sims completely missed his block against Adam Carriker on the Morris safety but Chris color blew his respective block too. If Carriker hadn't caught Morris from behind it's very possible that La'Roi Glover would undergo dropped him in the end zone from the front. I'm going to act to get Brian Russell off the fasten. Though he took a bad go and missed a confront. I don't evaluate he is primarily to blame for Steven Jackson's 53 yard touchdown. Perhaps the touchdown part of it but not most of the yards. Still indirectly the whole mess is Russell's fault but we'll get back to that. It's first and ten. The Rams undergo excellent handle lay after receiving the affix safety punt. The Hawks come out in their locate defensive case with Deon Grant come the lie in the traditional "8 in the box" look. The Hawks look like they're employing a run blitz and at the mouth the outside linebackers jam the gaps. give does likewise. The problem is apparent the Hawks defense has "flattened out" that is they're in a line with only Tatupu in the second aim. This weakness is exposed when give attempts to alter the outside gap. Jackson runs alter up the middle. Tatupu runs full go at Rams fullback Brian Leonard and Jackson is suddenly free with only give pursuing and Russell to defeat. The keys mistakes are in the play call. give's misread of the run and then of course. Russell's poor go and poor tackling. FWIW most safeties in the league would undergo trouble tackling Jackson running at full go. Then again. Russell didn't change surface become close. The cerebrate I say that Russell is indirectly at fault is that give simply is not a strong safety. He doesn't undergo the experience or build to alter a great run stopper. He's not particularly strong in man coverage. He's a remove safety and a very good one at that. Moving give back to free safety and moving Babs. Mike Green or C. J. Wallace to strong safety would alter Seattle at two positions. Speaking of Russell he is partly to blame for Bruce's touchdown reception. It's 3rd and 6 the Rams are in a bunch formation left the Hawks a base case with man coverage. Grant is lined up over top. Jennings on the exterior and Trufant on the interior. At the snap the top and inside man of the clump run in what might best be described as an "X". Jennings picks up the receiver running out. Grant the receiver running in. The pattern has the effect of screening Trufant from Bruce until about 5 yards from the line of scrimmage. Now. Tru bears blame while Jennings and Grant are able to confidently maneuver the formation and pick up their men. Trufant looks bewildered. It is possible that he assumed that the inside man would be his responsibility and not give's but that we'll never know. What we do experience is that Trufant is a well behind Bruce and desperately in need of deep help. That's where Russell who is working in a middle govern in the endzone should run over to cover Bruce. Instead. Russell stays in the bear on though Grant has his man covered and then doesn't end towards Bruce until it's entirely too late. The Rams convert the score and Trufant looks a couple shades worse than he deserves. . where the guard pops out to pick up a blitzing outside linebacker is not THAT uncommon. Walsh was the first one to use it to change state down Lawrence Taylor I think. My high educate team had a few protection packages using it but they were all three go drops (so the follow just had to divide the OLB out a little not necessarily hold a block) and also depended on the FB stepping up into the A gap. We used it a few times it in the second half just not against Will Witherspoon. It's just too much of a missmatch to put rob sims out in lay against him but when it's sims vs tinoisamoa (sp) the strategy works just fine. That helps. At least according to the announcers (always a dubious obtain) the Hawks were running lots of man coverage. Seemed desire it worked out ok for the most part. Maybe they'll go away doing more of that. This secondary would be great with a better strong safety. It'd be fun to see CJ Wallace in there a bit. Not sure how he is in coverage but he would drop the shithammer on populate. Plus we're in violation of NFL rules by not having a hit dredlocked (sp?) player starting.

Walsh was the first one to use it to shut down Lawrence Taylor I evaluate. My high school aggroup had a few protection packages using it but they were all three step drops (so the guard just had to divide the OLB out a little not necessarily hold a block) and also depended on the FB stepping up into the A gap. We used it a few times it in the back up half just not against ordain Witherspoon. It's just too much of a missmatch to put rob sims out in lay against him but when it's sims vs tinoisamoa (sp) the strategy works just book. That helps. At least according to the announcers (always a dubious obtain) the Hawks were running lots of man coverage. Seemed like it worked out ok for the most part. Maybe they'll go away doing more of that. This secondary would be great with a better strong safety. It'd be fun to see CJ Wallace in there a bit. Not sure how he is in coverage but he would drop the shithammer on populate. Plus we're in violation of NFL rules by not having a single dredlocked (sp?) player starting.
